This June, the SpendCare team joined PACE leaders, clinicians, and policy professionals in Indianapolis for the 2025 NPA Summer Conference, held at the JW Marriott. Over several days, we engaged in workshops, panel sessions, and networking focused on quality, care innovation, and PACE operational excellence.
A highlight of the trip was the site visit to Franciscan Senior Health & Wellness, a PACE program serving older adults in Indianapolis. Touring the center and speaking with staff offered valuable perspective on how care teams work together to deliver comprehensive, person-centered services. Seeing daily operations firsthand — from participant engagement to care coordination — reinforced the importance of designing solutions that integrate seamlessly into real PACE workflows.
The conference agenda itself focused heavily on quality improvement, interdisciplinary integration, risk management, and sustainable growth. Across sessions, a consistent message emerged: sustainable expansion must be grounded in measurable outcomes and accountability.
Key Takeaways for SpendCare and Our Partners
-
Quality as the anchor. Excellence in care remains the non-negotiable foundation for PACE growth.
-
Integration across services. The best programs now combine medical, behavioral, social, and support services into coherent, person-centered experiences.
-
Operational flexibility. With reimbursement pressures and oversight intensifying, agility in systems and processes is essential.
-
Learning from real settings matters. Site visits like the one to Franciscan remind us that theory meets practice — and that grounded knowledge helps us build tools that truly fit.
For our customers and prospective partners, our engagement at the Summer Conference — including the site visit — reinforces that SpendCare is not just a passive observer but an active participant in the PACE ecosystem. What we learn on the ground guides how we evolve our platform — so you can keep delivering the right support, at the right time, to the people who need it most.
